Woma Woma’s involvement goes beyond funding. We actively engage with the women producers themselves visiting farming communities, building relationships and understanding the realities behind each harvest.
We r spend time with female farmers within the programme, offering encouragement, sharing commercial insight and providing mentorship where appropriate. We will also be attending the annual Bean Voyage summit in Mexico to continue strengthening these relationships and supporting the visibility and growth of women producers within the global coffee industry.
Maybe we should highlight a story of one of the women, this is what people would want to see, eventually we want to be able to support a woman and her farm almost entirely so our clients can see how we spend their money
Our journey began at the Museu do Café in Santos, tracing Brazil’s coffee heritage before travelling inland to visit Bourbon Coffee in Poços de Caldas. One of Brazil’s most respected producers and exporters, Bourbon is known for its commitment to quality, innovation and sustainability. Exploring their warehouse and cupping labs offered a real insight into how they work with growers across the region to showcase Brazil’s finest coffees.
From there, we continued on to some of the country’s most iconic farms, including Barreiro, Santa Alina, Recreio and Cachoeira da Grama. Each farm showed the incredible scale, innovation and care that define Brazilian coffee.
What stood out most, however, was meeting the women farmers driving change on the ground. Seeing first-hand just how hard they work from managing estates to leading co-operatives was both humbling and inspiring. These women are breaking barriers in a male-dominated industry while supporting their families and communities. Their resilience, ambition and passion were as powerful as the coffees themselves.
This journey reinforced why Woma Woma exists: to bring purpose to coffee by championing the women whose stories deserve to be heard. Every cup we share carries not only flavour, but the voice of the women who make it possible.

To provide our customers with exceptional service and premium coffee, while protecting our planet and creating meaningful opportunities for women farmers to thrive.
